Vivo recently launched its new smartphone sub-brand iQOO, and its first phone is logically called iQOO. However, the company is now ready to launch the second smartphone model under iQOO branding. Now, the company has teased an image of the upcoming phone on Chinese social media website Weibo. Going by the digital poster released by iQOO, its second smartphone will be launched as iQOO Neo.
As you can see in the image below, the iQOO Neo will be offered in two colors: Purple and Black (with carbon fiber like pattern). The phone will feature a large screen with a dot-shaped notch for the selfie camera. On the rear, the phone appears to come equipped with a triple-camera. If you notice, it doesn’t have a fingerprint reader on the rear, which means that the phone will come with an in-display fingerprint reader. This also means that it will use an AMOLED screen since the technology that allows under-display fingerprint readers to work through LCD panels isn’t available yet.
It is being reported that the iQOO Neo could use either the Snapdragon 845 processor or the Snapdragon 710 SoC. It will be launched running Android 9 Pie-based software. It will have an AMOLED screen, probably the same 6.4-inch Full HD+ panel as that of the iQOO. The phone will come with a triple-camera setup on the rear and a selfie camera on the front. No other details are known about the iQOO Neo right now, but in the past, it was being rumored that the iQOO’s trimmed down version could be called iQOO Youth Edition. However, it looks like the information was wrong.
