Vivo NEX 3: specifications and features
The Vivo NEX 3 has been launched with a 6.89 FHD+ AMOLED waterfall display with a customised protection layer on top. The left and right side of the panel is curved to 90-degrees and it comes with a screen-to-body ratio of 99.6 percent. An in-display fingerprint sensor is also included in the package. The phone features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with 8GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM + 256GB of storage. The 5G version of the phone also comes with a special 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant along with the 12GB RAM one. The phone sports Vapour Chamber Cooling which can reportedly reduce the temperature by 10-degrees.
In the optics department, the Vivo NEX 3 features a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 64MP Samsung GW1 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 13MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens and a 13MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The circular configuration also boasts of a 20x digital zoom and an LED Flash. Features like Hyper-HDR and Super Night View 2.0 are present. For selfie lovers, the device is equipped with a 16MP pop-up camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The phone sports a special pressure button at the side with seven sensors and an independent power supply system for the hidden pressure-sensitive keys.
The Vivo NEX 3 runs Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS 9.1 on the top. It also sports a 4,500mAh battery with support for 44W Ultra-Fast Charging and USB Type-C. Vivo has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack and the device also supports NFC.
Vivo NEX 3: price and availability
The device has been launched in two shades – Black and White. The 4G version with 8GB of RAM + 128GB storage is priced at 4,998 yuan (~Rs 50,633). The Vivo NEX 3 5G edition costs 5,698 yuan (~Rs 57,275) for 8GB RAM + 256GB variant and 6,198 yuan (~Rs 62,789) for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The phone will go on sale on September 21st in China. However, we do not have any information about its India launch yet.
