Vivo has officially launched the global variant of its Vivo S1. To recall, the smartphone was launched earlier in March this year in China. In terms of specifications, the global variant is different from the one launched in the China market. Let’s take a look below:
Vivo S1 Specifications and Features
The Vivo S1 global variant features a smaller 6.38-inch display bearing a full HD+ resolution. It is fitted with a Super AMOLED panel, unlike the China variant. However, the device comes with a waterdrop notch instead of a pop-up camera module. The global variant features an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device can be availed in Cosmic Green and Skyline Blue colour options.
In the camera department, the Vivo S1 global variant comes with a different camera setup compared to the China variant. It features a superior 16MP main camera sensor instead of 12MP found on the China variant. The main camera is accompanied by an 8MP wide-angle lens and 2MP depth sensor (compared to 5MP on China variant). Upfront, the device is fitted with the same 32MP selfie shooter.
On the hardware front, the Vivo S1 global variant is powered by a MediaTek Helio P65 chipset compared to Helio P70 on the China variant. The processor is paired with 4GB RAM and offers 128GB onboard storage. The global variant is also backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit which is 860mAh larger than the China variant. Software-wise, the Vivo S1 runs on Funtouch OS based on Android Pie.
Vivo S1 Pricing and Availability:
The Vivo S1 is up for pre-orders in Indonesia at a price tag of IDR 35,99,000 (~Rs 17,710) with sales commencing from July 23.. There is no word regarding India launch date but we expect it to hit the markets soon.
