The Vivo S1 was launched back in August with Helio P65 processor and triple rear cameras. The phone’s pro variant hit the Chinese market last month and now, the device is ready to launch in India. An anonymous source from Vivo has revealed to 91mobiles that the Vivo S1 Pro will be released in India in mid-January 2020. As of now, there’s no word regarding the Vivo S1 Pro’s price in India. The smartphone will arrive as a mid-range offering with an in-display fingerprint sensor, a waterdrop notch above the screen to house the selfie camera, minimal bezels on all the sides, and a primary quad-camera setup at the rear.
Vivo S1 Pro specifications and features
With a glass back panel and a waterdrop notch, the Vivo S1 Pro features a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The screen is also laced with an Always-On feature and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Performance-wise, the phone depends on Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The AI quad-camera configuration on the back of the Vivo S1 Pro features a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM1 main sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The primary camera is supported by an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP super macro lens with 4cm focal range, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, the phone is equipped with a 32MP snapper with an aperture of f/2.0.
The Vivo S1 Pro also plays host to a 4,500mAh battery that supports the brand’s 18W dual-engine fast charging technology. The device boots FunTouch OS 9.2 that’s based on Android 9 Pie. The Ultra Game Mode present in the phone helps in blocking perturbance from notifications during gameplay. Lastly, the handset comes in Fancy Sky and Knight Black shades.
