Vivo has expanded its range of S series smartphones in India by launching the Vivo S1 Pro at an event today. The handset has arrived as the successor to the Vivo S1, which was launched in the country in August last year. The Vivo S1 Pro brings a handful of upgrades over its predecessor. The smartphone is a mid-range offering with four primary cameras, which is placed in a diamond-shaped camera module. The Vivo S1 Pro also offers other premium features like an in-display fingerprint sensor, nearly non-existent bezels, and Vivo’s Dual-Engine fast charging support.

The Vivo S1 Pro has a waterdrop notch above the screen, minimal bezels on the sides and top, and a slim chin. The phone’s under-display fingerprint sensor is touted to unlock the smartphone in 0.5 seconds. The handset is fitted with a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED full HD+ Always-on display bearing an aspect ratio of 90 percent. Under the hood, the smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which is aided by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage.

In the imaging department, the Vivo S1 Pro has a 48MP primary camera on the back, which is accompanied by an 8MP secondary snapper and a couple of 2MP lenses. The connectivity features are standard including 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS with GLONASS. Software-wise, the device boots Funtouch OS 9.2 that’s based on Android 9.0 Pie. Lastly, a beefy 4,500mAh battery with 18W Dual-Engine fast charging support complete the list of the specifications.

The Vivo S1 Pro has been priced in India at Rs 19,990. The phone comes in three attractive colour variants – Mystic Black, Jazzy Blue, and Dreamy White. The phone will go on sale from tomorrow via major offline stores, Vivo’s online store, and major e-commerce portals across the country.
