Vivo had announced the Vivo S1 Pro and Y50 smartphones in January and June respectively this year. Now the brand has permanently slashed the prices of the two devices by up to Rs 2,000. Notably, the Vivo S1 Pro had received a price cut in March, but the price was later hiked due to the new GST rate.
Both the Vivo S1 Pro and Y50 are offered in a single RAM and storage configuration of 8GB + 128GB. The revised prices of the smartphones are reflected in offline partner stores as well major e-commerce platforms Amazon, Flipkart and Vivo e-store.
Vivo S1 Pro and Vivo Y50 new prices in India
The Vivo S1 Pro was launched at Rs 19,990 but post-GST hike it retailed at Rs 20,990. With the latest price cut, the device is now available at Rs 18,990. On the other hand, the price of Vivo Y50 is down to Rs 16,990 from Rs 17,990.
Vivo S1 Pro and Vivo Y50 specifications and features
Beginning with the Vivo S1 Pro, the device features a 6.38-inch sAMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. The device is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Vivo Y50 sports a 6.53-inch punch-hole display with FHD+ resolution and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Both smartphones are powered by a Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage expandable via microSD card slot. The S1 Pro runs on a 4,500mAh battery while the Y50 is backed by a 5,000mAh unit, with both devices supporting 18W fast charging.
The Vivo S1 Pro and Y50 sport quad-cameras with the former having a 48MP main sensor and the latter offering 13MP primary lens. The remaining setup on both devices comprises an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth and 2MP macro unit. The S1 Pro features a 32MP front-facing camera while the Y50 is fitted with a 16MP selfie snapper.
