Vivo S16 series is expected to launch this month (December) in China. Ahead of the expected launch, Pricebaba has collaborated with prominent leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) to bring you the leaked renders of the Vivo S16 Pro. We do not have the renders for the vanilla model yet. The Vivo S15 and S15 Pro have sported identical designs; the same goes for the Vivo S12 and S12 Pro and the S10 and S10 Pro. Hence, it is likely that the Vivo S16 may look identical to the S16 Pro.
Apart from the S16 and S16 Pro, the lineup reportedly includes a third model called the Vivo S16e. It is unclear whether the S16e will debut with the S16 and S16 Pro this month.
Vivo S16 Pro design
In terms of design, the Vivo S16 Pro appears to be an improved version of the Vivo S12 series, which debuted last year. On the front, the device can be seen sporting a curved-edge AMOLED display, which seems to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner.
The S16 Pro’s protruding camera island houses a triple camera unit with a ring LED flash, which looks similar to the square-shaped module that was seen on the S12 lineup. The renders show that the curved-edge back panel has a matte finish, whereas the camera island has a glossy finish. The top edge of the phone features a microphone, whereas its opposite side has a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, and a microphone. The volume rocker and a power key can be seen on the right.
The Vivo S16 Pro measures roughly 164 x 74.9 x 7.5mm and houses a display of around 6.6 inches. The thickness of the device increases to 9.8mm at the camera bump.
Vivo S16 Pro specifications (rumoured)
Speculations are rife that Vivo smartphones with model numbers V2244A and V2245A that were recently approved by the 3C authority of China are the S16 and S16 Pro. The 3C listings revealed that both models might support 80W fast charging. The Vivo S16 Pro, according to rumours, will have a 120Hz OLED FHD+ display and a Dimensity 8200 chipset. It is expected to feature the Vivo V1+ ISP for a better photography experience in low-light conditions. The device will come in three colours: black, green, and gold.
The Vivo S16, on the other hand, is likely to arrive with a flat OLED screen that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner. It is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 mobile platform. It is speculated to arrive in black, blue, and purple colours. Apart from the rumour that the Exynos 1080 chip powers the Vivo S16e, nothing else is known about this device.
