Vivo could be planning to release a smartphone called the StarX in the future. We’ve spotted trademark for the StarX in the database of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The trademark has been filed under the “Class 9” category, which is usually used for smartphones, apart from tablets, computers, and other phone-related products. Apart from the StarX, Vivo has also filed two other trademarks under the Class 9 category including the Frista and Domix.
The trademark filing suggests that there could be a Vivo StarX product in the near future, possibly a smartphone. Unfortunately, the trademark hasn’t revealed anything else about the device like its specifications etc. So at this point, we can only speculate that Vivo StarX will be a commercial product in the coming months. Vivo filed for the application in September, and it is currently under examination by the regulatory authority.
As for the upcoming Vivo products, the company is currently planning to launch the Vivo iQOO Lite in the coming days. The phone was recently certified by the Chinese regulatory authority 3C. The listing on 3C’s website suggested that the smartphone could come with 33W fast charging. The other rumoured specs of the handset include a Snapdragon 855 processor, an OLED screen with a waterdrop notch on top, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. We should have its availability and pricing details very soon, so stay tuned.
