Vivo has been teasing its latest U series smartphone called the Vivo U20 in India from the past few weeks. Today, the company has finally launched the handset in the country. The Vivo U20 has arrived as one of the most affordable smartphones in the country with a triple primary camera setup at the rear and a waterdrop notch above the screen. Notably, the Vivo U20 also boasts a massive battery with support for fast charging. The phone is the successor to the Vivo U10, which was launched in the country in September. Just like the Vivo U20, the U10 also offers a similar battery capacity and fast charging support.
Vivo U20 specifications and features
Coming to the specs, the Vivo U20 features a 6.53-inch display bearing a resolution of Full HD+. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 675 processor. The phone comes in two RAM and storage configurations – 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB. Software-wise, the handset boots Funtouch OS 9, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. Design-wise, the handset has a gradient finish at the rear, apart from the fingerprint sensor for security. The smartphone is fuelled by a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
In the camera department, the Vivo U20 features a 16MP primary camera at the rear with an aperture of f/1.78. The main sensor is accompanied by an 8MP super-wide-angle lens that has an aperture of f/2.2 and a 2MP super macro camera with an aperture of f/2.4. The phone’s rear camera supports HDR, bokeh mode, night mode, live photo, AR stickers, 4k video recording at 60fps, and more. For selfies and video-calling, the device has a 16MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 and several software tweaks to let you improve your self-portraits.
Vivo U20 price in India
The Vivo U20’s base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage has been priced at Rs 10,990. The handset’s higher-end model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is being offered for Rs 11,990. The phone will be available exclusively on Amazon India in Racing Black and Blaze Blue colour variants from November 28th. As part of the launch offer, the company is offering a discount of Rs 1,000 on the phone for those who pay the full amount while booking the handset. There’s also another offer that lets you purchase the device with no-cost EMIs for six months.
