Vivo V15 with Helio P70 and Pop-Up Selfie Camera Announced

Last month, Vivo had launched the Vivo V15 Pro smartphone. Now, Vivo has unveiled the Vivo V15 smartphone in Thailand. Like its Pro sibling, the V15 possesses a notch-less screen and a pop-up selfie camera. However, instead of the Snapdragon 675 mobile platform that powers the V15 Pro, the newly unveiled V15 is fueled by the Helio P70.

Vivo V15 Specifications and Features

The Vivo V15 is equipped with a with 6.53-inch LCD display that carries full HD+ resolution. According to Vivo, the V15 offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.95 percent. While the V15 Pro is embedded with an in-display fingerprint sensor, the V15 is fitted with a regular rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The MediaTek Helio P70 SoC is assisted by 6GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 128GB and there is a microSD card slot for additional storage. A dual-engine fast charging enabled 4,000mAh battery powers the device. The V15 Pro has a 3,700mAh battery.

For shooting selfies, there is a pop-up selfie camera of 32-megapixels with f/2.0 aperture on the front. It is equipped with various features like HDR, face beauty, live photo, panorama and portrait bokeh. The triple camera setup on the rear has an f/1.78 12-megapixel main sensor that is coupled with an f/2.2 8-megapixel super wide-angle lens and an f/2.4 5-megapixel depth sensor. The triple rear cameras offer features like professional mode, AI scene recognition AI body shaping, AI filters and PDAF, along with the features available on the front camera.

When it comes to connectivity, the Vivo V15 is equipped with features such as dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, micro-USB port, USB OTG and a 3.5mm audio jack. The FunTouch OS 9 based Android 9 Pie OS comes preinstalled on the smartphone. Vivo has also included its Jovi AI assistant on the V15. The handset measures 161.97 x 93 x 8.54mm and weighs 189.5 grams.

Vivo V15 Price and Availability

The Vivo V15 has landed in Thailand with a price tag of THD 10,999 (~Rs 24,500). The handset is available in the country in colour options such as Topaz Blue and Glamour Red.

In India, the Vivo V15 Pro is selling for Rs. 28,990. It is speculated that the Chinese manufacturer may announce the V15 in India in the near future.
