Vivo V15 Pro With 48MP Camera And Snapdragon 675 Launched In India For Rs 28,990

Vivo has launched several devices in the past with innovative and industry-first features like an in-display fingerprint scanner on Vivo X21 and a pop-up camera with Fullview display on Vivo NEX. At an event held today, the smartphone maker launched its new device, the Vivo V15 Pro. Let’s find out the technical specifications, pricing and availability of the V15 Pro in detail:

Display & Design:

On the display front, the Vivo V15 Pro sports a 6.39-inch Ultra FullView screen translating to FHD+ resolution. The display is fitted with a Super AMOLED panel. 2.5D curved glass is also coated on the top for enhanced user experience. 

Design-wise, the V15 Pro flaunts a gradient rear panel and can be availed in two color options – Topaz Blue and Ruby Red. There is a vertical triple rear camera module that extends to its top edge. It also houses a pop-up front camera, unlike the Vivo NEX where the front camera pops up from a separate module. The smartphone can be securely unlocked with a 5th generation in-display fingerprint scanner, and offers face unlock as well.


As seen in the teaser, the V15 Pro sports a triple camera setup comprising of f/1.8 48MP main sensor, an f/2.4 8MP wide-angle lens, and f/2.4 5MP depth sensor. Upfront, the Vivo V15 Pro is touted be the world’s first smartphone with a 32MP pop-up selfie camera. The module pops-out when the camera app is launched and goes back in once the job is done. The camera software comes with a bunch of modes like Ultra HD, professional, HDR, time-lapse photography, bokeh, palm capture, retina flash and super wide angle. It is also backed by AI enhancements like face beauty, face shaping, selfie lighting, scene recognition, and portrait framing.

Hardware & OS:

Under the hood, the Vivo V15 Pro is the first phone to be powered by a Snapdragon 675 chipset. It is paired with 6GB and 128GB of internal memory, expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The device features Game Mode 5.0 that optimizes the gaming performance. Out of the box, the Vivo V15 Pro runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie with the company’s custom Funtouch OS 5.0 skinned on top.

Battery & Connectivity:

The Vivo V15 Pro draws its power from a 3,700mAh battery unit. It is equipped with Vivo’s proprietary Dual Engine fast charging support. The device houses sensors like accelerometer, ambient light, proximity, compass, and gyroscope. Connectivity-wise, the V15 Pro is a dual SIM smartphone and offers basic options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB 2.0 and GPS support. The charging port and SIM tray are located at the bottom edge while there is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top.

Pricing & Availability:

Vivo has set the price of V15 Pro at Rs 28,990. The smartphone will go on sale from 6th March and buyers can pre-book the device starting today.
