Vivo V15 Pro gets a Rs 3,000 price cut, now starts at Rs 23,990

The Vivo V15 Pro was launched in India in February with a price tag of Rs 26,990 for its base model. Now, the Chinese manufacturer has introduced a Rs 3,000 price cut for the two models of the smartphone.  The Vivo V15 Pro 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage editions are now priced at Rs 23,990 and Rs 26,990 respectively.

The phone is now available at the revised starting pricing through Amazon Indian and Flipkart. Rumours suggest that Vivo India is planning to sell off the existing stocks of the Vivo V15 series in order to discontinue it, and launch the Vivo V17 lineup by October. Apart from Amazon India and Flipkart, offline stores have also started selling the Vivo V15 Pro models with the new pricing. The handset comes in two colours – Topaz Blue and Ruby Red.

The Vivo V15 Pro has a Super AMOLED display measuring 6.39 inches. The notch-less display offers full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The large display of the phone is integrated with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It was the first Vivo phone to come equipped with a Snapdragon 675 chipset.

For capturing selfies, that the handset offers users an f/2.0 32-megapixel selfie snapper. The rear shell of the phone features a triple camera setup that has an f/1.8 48-megapixel main camera, an f/2.4 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and an f/2.4 5-megapixel depth sensor.

Android 9 Pie skinned with the latest version of FunTouch OS runs on the device. It features a 3,700mAh battery that supports 18W dual-engine fast charging through microUSB 2.0. The other features of the V15 Pro include a microSD card slot, dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Vivo V17 Series Rumours

Last month, 91mobiles reported Vivo is working on the V17 series. The report revealed that the Vivo V17 will be one of the first smartphones to feature a pop-up camera module with two selfie cameras. It may feature a quad camera setup on its rear. The Vivo V17 is expected to break cover by mid-October, as the company could be aiming to make the most of it through its Diwali sales. There is no information available yet on the pricing of the Vivo V17. The handset could be accompanied by an advanced version that may debut as Vivo V17 Pro.
