Vivo V17 hands-on video reveals punch-hole display and L-shaped camera module

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo V17 in India on December 9th. Recently, 91mobiles had leaked the design and specifications of the smartphone through exclusive renders. Now the website has shared a live hands-on video giving us a glimpse of the upcoming smartphone. The short video reveals the design, camera and UI in action. The Vivo V17 will arrive in India with a punch-hole display instead of a waterdrop notch, and an L-shaped camera module in place of the diamond-shaped arrangement found on its Russian and Chinese counterparts. It’s worth noting that Vivo hasn’t revealed the name of the smartphone yet, but it is expected to be Vivo V17. 

Vivo V17 specifications and features

The first noticeable difference between the Indian variant of Vivo V17 and the global variant is in design. On the front, the hands-on video reveals the smartphone will feature a punch-hole cutout on the top right corner. The device is expected to sport a 6.44-inch AMOLED display bearing FHD+ resolution. On the back, the Vivo V17 sports an L-shaped camera setup at the top left corner. The module houses four sensors comprising of a 48MP main camera, 8MP secondary shooter, two 2MP lenses and an LED flash. The camera cutout on the front is expected to accommodate a 32MP selfie snapper. For enhanced security, the smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. 

On the hardware front, the Vivo V17 is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 675 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone will run Android 9 Pie with FunTouchOS 9 skinned on top. A 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging completes the list of leaked specifications. 

Vivo V17 price in India

Vivo is expected to price the V17 under Rs 25,000 in India. It’s just a matter of days until we will have all the official details surrounding the smartphone.
