The Vivo S1 Pro smartphone was recently made official in China. The same phone has is now official in Russia as the Vivo V17. The key features of the Vivo V17 include a 48-megapixel quad camera module placed in a diamond-shaped module, Snapdragon 665 chipset and 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support.
Vivo V17 specifications and features
The Vivo V17 features a glass rear and a metallic frame, and houses a 6.38-inch S-AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and 19:5.9 aspect ratio display. It delivers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The screen of the phone is integrated with a fingerprint sensor. The display notch is the home for its 32-megapixel selfie camera. With 4-in-1 pixel binning tech onboard, the Vivo V17 is optimized to capture better selfies in low-light conditions.
The LED flash enabled quad camera system of the Vivo V17 comprises of a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 120-degree field-of-view, a 2-megapixel macro lens with 4cm focal length and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The Vivo V17 runs FunTouch OS 9.2 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. The Snapdragon 665 mobile platform is present under the hood of the V17 along with 8GB of RAM. It comes in a single storage edition of 128GB. For expanding the storage further, it features a microSD card slot. The handset houses a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through USB Type-C. For contactless payments, the Vivo V17 is equipped with NFC connectivity. The other features of the smartphone include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Vivo V17 pricing and availability
In Russia, the Vivo V17 has arrived in two colours like Cloud Blue and Fog Blue. It is up for pre-orders in the country until December 5th. Customers who pre-order the device will get the Vivo Y11 phone for free. The handset is priced at 22,990 RUB (~Rs 25,800).
The Vivo V17 is also rumoured to arrive in India soon. Reports have claimed that its sales may begin in the country in the first week of December. In India, it could be priced around Rs 25,000. Its arrival in the country could lead to the gradual demise of the Vivo V17 Pro phone that was made official in October.
