As of Q3 2019, Vivo’s market share in India is 17 percent. The company wants to take the second spot from Samsung which holds a market share of 20 percent in the country. Back in September, Vivo had launched the Vivo V17 Pro (first impressions). However, the smartphone encountered poor sales and received a Rs 2,000 price cut within a month of launch. Now according to a report by 91mobiles, Vivo is all set to introduce a cheaper variant of the V17 Pro. The Vivo V17 is scheduled to launch in the last week of November with sales commencing from the first week of December. The device is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 25,000.
As of now, specifications and features of the Vivo V17 are not known yet. The smartphone is expected to retain the quad-camera setup and dual pop-up camera module from its Pro variant. 91mobiles also claims that Vivo may discontinue the V17 Pro. It will be phased out from the market gradually after the launch of V17.

The Vivo V17 Pro arrived as the world’s first dual pop-up selfie camera in the mid-range price segment. The device sports a 6.59-inch display bearing full HD+ resolution and a Super AMOLED panel on the top. The V17 Pro features an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
On the optics front, the V17 Pro sports a quad-camera setup comprising of 48MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 13MP telephoto camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The dual pop-up module consists of a 32MP main camera accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor.
In terms of hardware, the V17 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 675 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS 9.1 skinned on top. It is backed by a 4,100mAh battery with support for 18W Dual-Engine fast charging.
