Vivo V17 with 48MP quad-camera setup launched in India, yours for Rs 22,990

The Vivo V17 has been the subject of a number of leaks and reports in India from the past few days. Today, the Chinese tech giant has finally launched the smartphone in India. The phone has arrived as a variant of the Vivo S1 Pro, which was launched in the Philippines in November. The Vivo V17 is a mid-range offering with almost bezel-free design and a hole on the top-right side of the screen to house the selfie camera. The Vivo V17 also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and four primary cameras at the rear.

Vivo V17 specifications and features

Talking about the specs, the Vivo V17 features a 6.44-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 675 AIE processor, which is accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage that can be further increased by inserting a microSD card. Software-wise, the smartphone boots Funtouch OS 9.2 that’s based on Android 9 Pie. Design-wise, the handset measures 8.54mm around the waist and tips the scale at 176grams.

In the camera department, the Vivo V17 offers a 48MP primary camera on the back with an aperture of f/1.8. The main sensor is accompanied by an 8MP f/2.2 wide-angle camera, a 2MP f/2.4 snapper for bokeh photography, and a 2MP f/2.4 shooter for macro imaging. The handset’s quad-camera module offers features like Super Night Mode, Ultra Stable Video, Portrait light effects, AR Stickers, and more. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone has a 32MP camera on the front that offers f/2.45 aperture.

In terms of connectivity, the Vivo V17 offers 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, USB OTG support, and GPS with GLONASS. The smartphone is fitted with a massive 4,500mAh battery that supports fast charging.

Vivo V17 price in India

The Vivo V17 has been priced at Rs 22,990 in India. The phone comes in two colour variants – Midnight Ocean and Glacier Ice. The handset will go on sale in the country starting from December 17th via major e-commerce portals and offline stores across the country. The company is bundling the device with the Vivo XE710 earphones worth Rs 1,999 for free in the box.
