Vivo V19 camera samples and key specs appear ahead of April launch

On: March 6, 2020

A recent report had revealed that Vivo will be launching the V19 smartphone in Indonesia on March 10th. While this appears to be a new device going by the name, Indonesia’s V19 is said to be the rebranded version of the Vivo V17 that went official in December 2019. However, other markets like India and Russia are expected to receive an entirely new Vivo V19 smartphone. Reports have been claiming that Vivo India may announce the device at some point this month, and it will be advertised during the IPL 2020 cricket tournament that kicks off on March 29th. Vivo India hasn’t revealed any details on the arrival of Vivo V19. However, a new report by Russian blog Hi-Tech Mail states that Vivo V19 will in fact be announced in April. The publication has also shared some specs and camera samples of the smartphone.

According to the publication, anonymous sources have revealed it that a launch event for the Vivo V19 will be held next month. However, the exact date of the event has not been revealed. The V19 will be equipped with AI-powered quad cameras on the back and will have a 48-megapixel primary shooter.

The report further reveals that the company has given special attention on the Vivo V19’s low light camera performance. It states that the night mode feature will be available for the rear as well as front cameras. Shown above is one of the night shot samples from the device. The V19 is said to be driven by the Snapdragon 730G chipset and 8GB of RAM. It may arrive with an internal storage of 128GB. The phone will come preloaded with Android 10. The Vivo V19 may support contactless payment through NFC. The exact size of its battery is not known yet. Like the predecessor, it will be arriving with support for fast charging. A report from last month had claimed that the V19 will be arriving with a dual punch-hole display.
