Last month, Vivo had launched the V19 smartphone as the rebranded V17 in Indonesia. The device was confirmed to launch in India on March 26th, but was postponed due to the coronavirus. Now, Vivo has announced the V19 globally and it is different in terms of specifications and features compared to the Indonesia variant. The Vivo V19 also packs significant upgrades compared to the V17. Let’s take a look at what the device offers out of the box.
Vivo V19 specifications and features
Beginning with the display, the Vivo V19 features a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen bearing a FHD+ resolution. There is a pill-shaped cutout at the top right corner that houses dual front cameras. The device is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. There is a rectangular camera module on the back with the LED flash located on the top. The Vivo V19 is offered in Sleek Silver and Gleam Black colour options.
The Vivo V19 sports a quad-camera setup comprising of a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP bokeh and 2MP depth sensor. In the front, the device is fitted with 32MP and 8MP snappers for selfies. The camera is backed by various features like ultra-stable selfie video, super night mode, super macro and bokeh portrait.
Internally, the Vivo V19 is equipped with a Snapdragon 712 processor paired with 8GB RAM. The device is available in 128GB and 256GB storage option. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion. Software-wise, the smartphone runs Funtouch OS 10 based on Android 10. The Vivo V19 draws its power from a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging. Connectivity options on the device include USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS.

Vivo hasn’t announced the pricing and availability of the V19 yet. But now that the smartphone is official, we expect the brand to reveal the details soon. We will update this post as soon as we know.
