Vivo V19 and V19 Pro to reportedly launch in Q1 2020

The Vivo V17 Pro smartphone that features a notch-less display and dual pop-up selfie cameras were made official in October this year. Earlier this month, the company introduced the Vivo V17 handset with a punch-hole display. Fresh information has revealed that Vivo is reportedly working on the launch the Vivo V19 series of smartphones. It is speculated that the brand could be planning to introduce the Vivo V19 and Vivo V19 Pro phones in the first quarter of 2020.

Citing information acquired from retail sources, 91mobiles has claimed that Vivo could be announcing the Vivo V19 and V19 Pro smartphones in Q1 2020. The company will be promoting the Vivo V19 series during the upcoming Indian Premium League (IPL) tournament that will begin on March 23rd. Hence, there is a possibility that the Chinese firm could be launching the Vivo V19 and V19 Pro ahead of the IPL 2020.  At present, there are no details available on the specifications of the smartphone.

The Vivo V17 Pro features dual pop-up selfie cameras

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) which is one of the largest tech exhibitions of the year will take place in February. Vivo has confirmed that it will be present at MWC 2020 that kicks off from February 24th. The invite poster for the event has the letter ‘V’ in the background which indicates that the Chinese firm could be announcing a V series smartphone at MWC. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know whether the company will be showcasing the Vivo V19 series or some other smartphone at the tech exhibition.

Recent reports have revealed that Vivo India will begin the year 2020 with the launch of Vivo S1 Pro smartphone. The company is yet to release an official confirmation on its arrival in the country. In November, Vivo had launched the Vivo S1 Pro in some South-east Asian markets and China. It appears that the same phone is also heading to Indian in January.

A new leak has revealed that the Vivo S1 Pro will be priced at Rs 19,990 for its 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The Chinese firm is also expected to sell its 6GB RAM edition in the country. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.38-inch S-AMOLED full HD+ display with a waterdrop notch and in-screen fingerprint sensor. The Snapdragon 665 SoC powers the device. It is loaded with the FunTouchOS 9.2 based Android 9 Pie OS. The smartphone is backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through USB-C. It has a front camera of 32-megapixels and it is fitted with a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad camera system.
