Last month, Vivo launched the V20 series comprising of a standard, Pro and SE variant in Thailand and Malaysia. Now the smartphone maker has brought the Vivo V20 to the Indian market. The other two models have not been launched in the country.
The Vivo V20 is a mid-range smartphone. It shares the same specifications as its Thailand counterpart. The latest offering will compete against the likes of the Realme 7 Pro (first impressions), POCO X3 (review) and others in the country. Let’s find out what the device offers out of the box.
Vivo V20 specifications and features
The Vivo V20 features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display bearing FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. The device is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The back panel houses a rectangular camera module.
In the photography department, the Vivo V20 comes with a 64MP main sensor with f/1.79 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens that also works as a macro and bokeh unit. A 2MP mono sensor completes the triple camera setup on the smartphone. In the front, the Vivo V20 features a 44MP selfie snapper. The smartphone comes with Eye Autofocus feature that lets users track the subject’s eyes. There are various camera-related features like super night mode, tripod night mode, dual view video, motion autofocus etc.
Under the hood, the Vivo V20 houses the Snapdragon 720G processor. It is paired with 8GB RAM and offered in 128GB and 256GB storage options. The device features a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion. The Vivo V20 is powered by a 4.000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It runs FunTouch OS based on Android 10 out of the box.
Connectivity-wise, the Vivo V20 features a USB-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and ISRO’s NavIC.
Vivo V20 price in India
The Vivo V20 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 24,990 while the 8GB + 256GB model retails at Rs 27,990. The smartphone is offered in Midnight Jaaz, Sunset Melody and Moonlight Sonata colours. The Vivo V20 can be purchased from Flipkart and Vivo.com as well as Croma, Reliance Digital, Poorvika Mobiles, Vijay Sales etc. It is available for pre-booking from today with sales commencing from October 20th.
Vivo also announced the V20 SE alongside the standard variant. It features a 32MP front camera and comes in Gravity Black and Aquamarine Green colours The smartphone will likely retain the same specifications from its Malaysian counterpart. Vivo didn’t reveal the pricing and availability of the V20 SE but announced that it will be arriving soon.
