Vivo V20 SE vs Samsung Galaxy M51 vs Realme 7 Pro: price in India, specifications and features compared

Vivo had announced the Vivo V20 SE at the online launch event of the Vivo V20 last month. However, the brand didn’t reveal the specs, price and availability of the V20 SE at the event. Now, the brand has officially launched the V20 SE in India and it’s positioned right below the Vivo V20, as expected.

The Vivo V20 SE comes with a price tag of Rs 20,990 in India and competes with some of the heavyweights in the market. Two of these contenders include the Realme 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M51. Let’s find out which of these three smartphones are worth your money.

As mentioned before, the Vivo V20 SE has been priced at Rs 20,990 in India and it comes in a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone is being offered in two colours, Gravity Black and Aquamarine Green. The smartphone will be available in India starting November 3rd.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 comes in two configurations – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB priced at Rs 24,999 and Rs 26,999, respectively. Buyers have the option to choose between Celestial Black and Electric Blue colours. The Samsung Galaxy M51 can be purchased from Amazon and Samsung.com.

Lastly, the Realme 7 Pro also comes in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB configurations. The 6GB variant can be picked for Rs 19,999 and the 8GB model retails at Rs 21,999. The handset can be brought from Flipkart and realme.com. Realme is offering the phone in Mirror White and Mirror Blue colours.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is the first smartphone in India to feature a 7,000,mAh battery

Coming to the display, the Vivo V20 SE ships with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display featuring 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Samsung Galaxy M51 also comes with a FHD+ AMOLED display but with a slightly larger 6.7-inch panel with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Lastly, the Realme 7 Pro features a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with Gorilla Glass on top.

The Vivo V20 SE has arrived in Gravity Black and Aquamarine Green colours in India

The Vivo V20 SE is powered by the Snapdragon 665 Soc with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone boots FunTouch OS 11 based on Android 10. The Realme 7 Pro features the Snapdragon 720G processor with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It boots Realme UI based on Android 10.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 wins this round with the Snapdragon 730G chipset at its core with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The handset boots One UI based on Android 10 out of the box.

In the camera department, the Vivo V20 SE is the only device with a triple camera setup on the back with a 48-megapixel primary lens. The primary camera is backed by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and 2-megapixel depth sensor. In the front, the V20 SE features a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Both Samsung Galaxy M51 and Realme 7 Pro feature a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup. The former has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro unit accompanying the main camera. The Realme 7 Pro, on the other hand, features an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 2-megapixel BnW unit and a 2-megapixel macro shooter backing the main camera.

Both Realme and Samsung offerings also feature a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.

In terms of battery, the Vivo V20 SE houses a 4,1000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. But the Samsung Galaxy M51 dominates this round with its mammoth 7,000mAh battery, which supports 25W fast charging.

This is a landslide victory for the Samsung Galaxy M51, which won in all categories except for the pricing. The Samsung Galaxy M51 might be the most expensive of the lot, it makes up for it with a large Super AMOLED display, powerful processor, great cameras and a massive battery powering it.
