Vivo V20 series launching in India on October 13th

Last month, Vivo launched its V20 series consisting of a standard V20, V20 Pro 5G and V20 SE. The first two in the lineup were announced in Thailand while the V20 SE debuted in the Malaysian market. Now Vivo is set to expand its V-series of smartphones in India.

Vivo has sent out launch invites for its upcoming V20 series in India. It is confirmed to debut on October 13th. Flipkart has put up a dedicated page for the Vivo V20 hinting that the upcoming offering will be available for purchase on the shopping portal. 

Vivo is teasing the ultra-slim design on its V20 series. However, there is no word whether all three smartphones i.e V20, V20 Pro 5G and V20 SE will be launched in India. According to a previous report by MySmartPrice, Vivo will launch only two devices in the V20 lineup. The report also claimed that the Indian variant of Vivo V20 could be different device compared to the one launched in Thailand. 

Vivo V20 series specifications and features

The Vivo V20 Pro 5G sports a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a wide notch that accommodates dual front camera setup of 44MP and 18MP sensors. The smartphone offers FHD+ resolution and HDR10 support. On the other hand, the standard V20 comes with a waterdrop notch display with a single 44MP selfie snapper.

The Vivo V20 Pro 5G and V20 sport triple rear cameras. The setup consists of a 64MP main sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP monochrome unit. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone comes with a USB-C port and in-screen fingerprint scanner but lacks a 3.5mm jack and microSD card slot. 

The Vivo V20 Pro 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The standard V20 is equipped with a Snapdragon 720G SoC. Both smartphones are backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging. 

As for the Vivo V20 SE, the smartphone comes with toned-down specifications compared to the other two V20 devices. The V20 SE retains the same waterdrop AMOLED display and in-screen fingerprint scanner from the standard V20. The device features a rectangular camera module on the back with a downgraded 48MP main sensor. The smartphone gets a 32MP front-facing camera. 

The V20 SE houses a Snapdragon 665 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage with a dedicated microSD card slot. It borrows the same battery unit and fast charging speed from the V20 and V20 Pro 5G.
