The Vivo V21 5G is launching at 12pm on April 29th in India. It will be arriving as the successor to the Vivo V20, which was a 4G LTE device. Apart from Vivo India’s online store, the V21 5G will be available for purchase through Flipkart after it goes official.
Before launching in India, the Vivo V21 5G will be debuting first in Malaysia on April 27th. Teasers have revealed that the Vivo V21 5G will be accompanied by another handset called the Vivo V21e. It is unclear whether Vivo India will be announcing any other V21 series phone apart from the V21 5G on April 29th.
Vivo V21 5G design, confirmed features
The Vivo V21 5G teasers have revealed that it will be sporting a waterdrop notch display. It will be arriving as India’s first smartphone with support for Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) for the front camera. It will be accompanied by a dual front-firing flash for brighter selfies in low-light conditions. The matte glass rear of the phone appears quite similar to its predecessor. The triple camera system of the phone features a 64-megapixel camera with OIS support. Both SIM slots of the phone carry support for 5G connectivity.
For lag-free performance, while running apps, the handset offers 8GB of RAM and 3GB of Extended RAM. The Flipkart listing has revealed that the V21 5G’s Sunset Dazzle and Arctic White edition will measure 7.39mm in thickness and weighs 177 grams, whereas it’s Dusk Blue edition will sport a slim profile of 7.29mm and weigh 176 grams.
Vivo V21 5G specifications and features (expected)
A recent leak revealed that the Vivo V21 5G will sport a 6.44-inch E3 AMOLED screen that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 800 nits brightness. The Dimensity 800U chipset may fuel the power with 8GB of RAM and 3GB of Extended RAM.
It will feature a 44-megapixel OIS front camera, and its rear camera setup may include a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The device may house a 4,400Ah battery with 33W rapid charging support. It will run Android 11. Reports have claimed that it could be priced around Rs 25,000.
