Vivo V29 has received approval from the Global Certification Forum (GCF). Reports have revealed that the brand is working on the launch of the Vivo V29 series of smartphones. The lineup, which is expected to include multiple models, is expected to launch in July.
It is not the first time that the V29 has been spotted on a certification site. The said device has previously been spotted at the Indonesia SDPPI platform, Singapore’s IMDA authority, Europe’s EEC body, Bluetooth SIG, and Geekbench. These listings are a good hint that it will not take too long for the V29 to go official. Here is a look at everything that’s known about the device.
Vivo V29 GCF certified
Apart from confirming the model number and final marketing name, the GCF certification reveals that the Vivo V29 will support multiple 5G bands, such as n1, n2, n3, n5, n8, n20, n28 (200Hz / 300Hz bandwidth), n38, n40, n41, n66, n77, and n78. Interestingly, GCF and some of the aforementioned listings reveal that the device will not have “5G” in its final marketing name.
Vivo V29 specifications (rumoured)
The listings mentioned earlier lack significant details regarding the specifications of the Vivo V29 smartphone. However, its Geekbench appearance revealed that it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset, 8GB of RAM, and Android 13 OS. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the device.
In related news, Vivo inadvertently confirmed the key specifications of the Vivo V29 Pro through a listing on the Vivo Philippines website. It was revealed that the device will come equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It was further revealed that the device will arrive with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. To keep the lights on, it will feature a 5,000mAh battery with 66W rapid charging. For photography, it will have an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel primary camera on the back. Some reports have claimed that the device will come equipped with the Dimensity 8200 chipset.
