The global launch of the Vivo V29 series occurred last month, and the company is now in the process of bringing it to the Indian market. According to a recent leak reported by 91Mobiles, it is anticipated that the India launch will take place towards the end of this month.
Citing industry sources, a new report from 91Mobiles reveals that both the V29 5G and V29 Pro 5G smartphones are likely to make their debut in India by the end of September. The company has reportedly made specific changes for the Indian market in the V29 series and introduced a unique ‘Majestic Red’ colour variant inspired by the country.
While the exact launch date remains unknown, it is expected to occur sometime this month. Given that the Vivo V29 5G has already been launched globally, details regarding the phone’s specifications and features are already available.

Starting off with the dimensions, the phone measures 164.1 x 74.3 x 7.4mm and weighs 186 grams. It boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The Vivo V29 5G comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset and is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
On the back, the Vivo V29 5G packs a triple-camera system, including a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 50MP front-facing camera with auto-focus feature. Additional features of the Vivo V29 include 5G and 4G connectivity, in-display fingerprint recognition, FunTouchOS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box, and a rather small 4,600mAh battery, with support for 80W fast charging.
