Vivo V5 Plus limited edition launched in India ahead of IPL 2017

Chinese handset maker Vivo has unveiled the V5 Plus IPL edition ahead of IPL 2017. Vivo yesterday held a press conference in Hyderabad where it unleashed this limited edition of V5 Plus, which also happens to be the company’s dual-camera selfie phone. Yea, it’s no longer a secret that Vivo’s the title sponsor of the upcoming Indian Premier League tournament. Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan and BCCI chief Rahul Johri were present during the launch.

It has the same specs as the Vivo V5 Plus that was launched in India earlier this year. The biggest attraction, it equips a 20MP+8MP dual selfie camera alongside Moonlight flash. The rear consists of a 16MP primary camera with LED flash and PDAF. It has a front-mounted fingerprint scanner that sits right underneath the home button. It supports 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2.

It boasts of a Matte Black finish with the Vivo IPL logo engraved on the rear. It measures 152.58 x 74 x 7.26 mm and weighs 158.6g. Up front is a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Inside are an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chip, Adreno 506 GPU for graphics, 4GB RAM, and 64GB built-in memory. The phone packs a 3,160mAh battery under the hood with support for fast charging.

Its price will be revealed once it will go on sale in India on April 10.
