Back in March, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo launched the Vivo V9 in India. Today, the company has launched an upgraded version of the device dubbed as the V9 Pro. Prior to launch, the V9 Pro had been teased on Amazon. Let’s see what this device has in store for us.
Display & Design:
Beginning with the display, the Vivo V9 Pro rocks a massive 6.3-inch screen with a notch on the top. It features an IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution. The notch houses a front camera, earpiece and some sensors. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back of the phone. The device is available in a single black colour.
In terms of imaging, the Vivo V9 Pro features dual rear cameras consisting of 13MP and 2MP sensors. The rear camera setup is stacked vertically an offers a bokeh effect for portraits. Upfront, the smartphone is fitted with a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
Hardware, OS & Battery:
On the hardware front, the Vivo V9 Pro houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with AIE capabilities (Artificial Intelligence Engine). The chipset is paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Vivo V9 Pro runs Android 8.1 Oreo with the brand’s Funtouch OS 4.0 on top. Powering the device is a 3,260 mAh battery.
Pricing & Availability:
The V9 Pro will be available online exclusively on Vivo’s online store and Amazon, and will later go on sale via select offline retail stores. It retails at Rs 19,990, but will be available for a special price of Rs 17,990 during Amazon’s Great India Festival which begins from October 10th.
