Vivo Watch with AMOLED display and SpO2 sensor launched: price, specifications

Vivo’s product portfolio consists mainly of smartphones and wireless earbuds. The brand has now forayed into the smartwatch segment with the launch of its first-ever Vivo Watch. The wearable device was announced yesterday in China.

The Vivo Watch comes with useful health and convenience related features. It will compete against the likes of OPPO Watch, Xiaomi Mi Watch, Amazfit GTR 2 and others in the smartwatch market. 

Vivo Watch specifications and features

The Vivo Watch comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes

The Vivo Watch features a circular dial and is offered in 42mm and 46mm sizes. Both variants come with an AMOLED display measuring 1.19-inches on the former and 1.39-inches on the latter. Another noticeable difference between the two is that the 42mm model has two round buttons while the 46mm comes with flat buttons. The smartwatch sports a 316L stainless steel body with brushed ceramic bezel. It is water-resistant up to 5TAM. 

In terms of health-related metrics, the Vivo Watch is equipped with an optical heart rate monitor and blood oxygen sensor. It supports 11 sports modes including outdoor/indoor running, swimming, cycling, mountain climbing, trail running, elliptical machine, high-intensity interval training and more. The smartwatch is also capable of tracking sleep and stress levels. The Vivo Watch displays smartphone notifications, lets you control music playback, set alarms and also works as a remote control for clicking pictures. It comes with Vivo’s Jovi voice assistant. 

The Vivo Watch is powered by an ST main control processor along with an Apollo ultra-low power chipset. It houses sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, air pressure, altitude sensor, ambient light sensor and a geomagnetic sensor. Connectivity options on the smartwatch include Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou and NFC. The 42mm variant is backed by a 226mAh battery unit that is claimed to offer 9 days of usage. The 46mm model is fitted with a larger 478mAh unit that is capable of lasting up to 18 days on a single charge. 

Vivo Watch pricing and availability

Both 42mm and 46mm variants of the Vivo Watch are priced at RMB 1,299 (~Rs 14,065). The former is offered in Mocha Brown and Secret Summer Orange colours while the latter can be availed in Shadow Black and Brown colours. The smartwatch is up for pre-orders on Vivo’s official store in China and will go on sale from September 29th. 

International and India availability of the Vivo Watch is not known at the moment.
