Vivo X Flip is reportedly in the works. Reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared the design schematic of the device on the microblogging platform Weibo. Additionally, another tipster shared a simulated image of the X Flip based on the real device.
The Vivo X Flip is expected to be the brand’s first clamshell foldable phone. The smartphone’s secondary display looks quite different compared to other clamshell folding phones in the market.

Vivo X Flip launch and design tipped
As per the schematic and simulated image, the Vivo X Flip has a circular camera module at the top left corner. It houses four sensors, and there is an LED flash on the right side, along with Zeiss branding. The foldable flip phone is expected to feature a different secondary screen compared to the Galaxy Z Flip, OPPO Find N2 Flip etc. The images show a horizontal secondary display on the X Flip compared to vertical as seen on the competitor devices.
The remaining half of the Vivo X Flip has the brand’s logo. The volume and power rocker buttons are located on the right side of the device.
DCS says that the Vivo X Flip will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. However, there are no other details about the clamshell foldable phone yet. The device is expected to debut in China sometime in early 2023.
