Vivo X Fold design officially teased ahead of launch next month


  • Vivo X Fold design has been revealed 
  • The foldable smartphone is set to launch in the third week of April in China
  • Vivo will also announce the Vivo Pad and Vivo X Note at the event

Vivo X Fold is set to launch in China on April 11th. It will be the brand’s first foldable smartphone. The company is also confirmed to enter the tablet segment with the Vivo Pad.

Ahead of the launch, Vivo has shared teasers of the Vivo X Fold giving us a glimpse at the smartphone. The brand’s foldable offering will compete against the likes of OPPO Find N, Samsung Galaxy Fold 3, Huawei Mate X2 and others in the market.

As per the teasers shared by Vivo on the microblogging platform Weibo, the X Fold will feature an inward folding design. The front panel of the phone has a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout. Opening the device reveals a tablet-like form factor and a centrally located punch-hole cutout on the inner screen. 

The back panel of the Vivo X Fold has a textured leather finish and a rectangular camera island. The module houses quad sensors, an LED flash and a Zeiss branding. The right side of the device has an alert slider whereas the left edge houses power and volume rocker buttons. There is a microphone, speaker grille, and a USB-C port at the bottom of the device. 

The Vivo X Fold is seen in a blue colour option. The foldable smartphone is confirmed to come with an AMOLED E5 display with 2K+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. 

As per leaks and rumours, the Vivo X Fold is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It will pack up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The device is tipped to be backed by a 4,600mAh battery unit with support for up to 120W fast charging.
