Vivo X Fold has launched today in China. It is Vivo’s first foldable smartphone, which comes equipped with flagship specifications and an inward folding design. At the same event, the company also took off the covers of the Vivo X Note premium flagship phone and the company’s first tablet, named the Vivo Pad.

The Vivo X Fold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The cover display and the inner foldable screen of the device both support a 120Hz refresh rate. Some of the other highlights of the X Fold include 50-megapixel quad cameras and wireless charging support.

Vivo X Fold features an 8.03-inch foldable OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 50MP quad cameras
The Vivo X Fold has a 6.53-inch OLED display with a curved edge design. It offers an FHD+ resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the inside, it has an 8.03-inch foldable OLED display that offers a Quad HD+ resolution, a 4:3.5 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both screens are equipped with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The punch-hole available on the X-Fold’s cover display houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera. There is another 16-megapixel camera placed on the punch-hole of the foldable screen. The wide camera block available on the backside of the X Fold features a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.75 aperture, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 12-megapixel portrait lens, and an 8-megapixel periscope zoom camera with support for 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered Vivo X Fold ships with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 4,600mAh battery that not only supports 65W wired charging but also 50W wireless charging.

Vivo X Note has a 7-inch curved edge display
The Vivo X Note has a massive 7-inch AMOLED E5 QHD+ 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It has a 32-megapixel front camera, 50-megapixel quad cameras (same as the X Fold), up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. On the other hand, the Vivo Pad tablet has an 11-inch LCD 120Hz display that supports a 2.5K resolution. It has a Snapdragon 870 SoC, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, an 8-megapixel front camera, a dual-camera system with 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel resolution, an 8,040mAh battery with 44W fast charging, and support for the Vivo Pencil.
Vivo X Fold, X Note, Vivo Pad pricing and availability
In China, the Vivo X Fold variants such as 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage are priced at RMB 8,999 (~Rs 1,07,100) and RMB 9,999 (~Rs 1,19,100), respectively. It comes in black, grey, and blue colours. The Vivo X Note starts at RMB 5,999 (~Rs 59,450), whereas the Vivo Pad carries a starting price of RMB 2,499 (~Rs 29,800). At present, it is unclear if the company has any plans to release the X Fold, X Note, and Vivo Pad in India.
