Last month, Vivo had unveiled the X50 series in China. The lineup consists of three devices including standard, Pro and Pro+ models. Now the smartphone maker is set to bring the Vivo X50 series to India. The company hasn’t revealed the launch date, yet but shopping portals Flipkart and Amazon have put up a dedicated landing page with a ‘coming soon’ tag.
According to previous reports, the Vivo X50 series is expected to debut on July 16th. The company has already sent out a press release, confirming that it will be launching the X50 and X50 Pro in the country. There is no word on whether the X50 Pro+ will be launched, however.
Vivo X50 and X50 Pro specifications and features
The Vivo X50 and X50 Pro are mid-range offerings and share most of the same specifications. Both devices feature a 6.56-inch punch-hole OLED display with FHD+ resolution, HDR10+ support and a 90Hz refresh rate panel. The standard variant offers a flat display while the Pro model comes with a curved screen. The two smartphones also have a slightly different camera setup at the rear.
In the camera department, the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro sport a quad-camera setup comprising a 48MP IMX598 main sensor with micro-gimbal technology. It is accompanied by a 13MP Samsung S5K3L6 sensor, an 8MP telephoto unit and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The punch hole cutout on the front accommodates a 32MP Samsung GD1 selfie snapper.
Performance-wise, the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro are powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The devices are backed by a 4,200 and 4,315mAh battery unit respectively with support for 33W fast charging.
Vivo X50 Pro+ specifcations and features
The Vivo X50 Pro+ is a flagship offering. It retains the same display as the standard and the Pro model but features a higher 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The X50 Pro Plus comes with advanced camera setup and a flagship Snapdragon 865 processor under the hood. The camera module consists of a 50MP Samsung GN1 primary sensor, 8MP telephoto with 60x hybrid zoom, 13MP wide-angle lens and 8MP macro shooter.
The smartphone supports a faster-charging speed of 44W compared to 33W on the other two devices. The Vivo X50 Pro+ is offered in three RAM and storage configurations of 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB.
