Vivo X50e with Snapdragon 765G and 48MP quad cameras launched: price and specifications

In June, Vivo announced its X50 series of smartphones comprising the Vivo X50 5G, X50 Pro 5G, and X50 Pro+ 5G. In July, the Vivo X50 (review) and Vivo X50 Pro were made official in India. The series also includes the Vivo X50 Lite that debuted back in April. Today, the brand has announced a new X50 series member called the Vivo X50e in Taiwan.

Like the Vivo X50 series phones, the Vivo X50e is fitted with powerful front and rear cameras. The handset features a diamond-shaped module for its rear cameras. It also features a large battery with fast charging support.

The Vivo X50e houses a 6.44-inch S-AMOLED panel that offers Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 103 percent NTSC colour gamut. The screen is embedded with a fingerprint sensor. The Snapdragon 765G chipset fuels the Vivo X50e with 8GB of LPPDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. There is a hybrid SIM slot onboard for expanding the storage further.

The waterdrop notch on the Vivo X50e’s display houses a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Its rear camera setup comprises a primary 48-megapixel sensor, a 13-megapixel telephoto/portrait lens with 50mm focal length, an 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The Vivo X50e offers photography features like super night scene mode, professional mode, and 20x digital zoom.

The smartphone ships with FunTouch OS 10 based on Android 10. The device is equipped with a 4,350mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Other features available on the device include 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Vivo X50e pricing and availability

The Vivo X50e is priced at TWD 13,990 (~Rs 35,600) in Taiwan. The handset comes in gradient colour options like blue and black. There is no word on which other markets will be receiving the Vivo X50e at the moment.
