Vivo X60 series India launch date revealed, will be powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC

Vivo India has confirmed that the Vivo X60 series of smartphones will be launching on March 25th in India. The landing page of the X60 lineup is now live on Vivo India’s website, Amazon India, and Flipkart.

Vivo launched the Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro smartphones in China in December 2020. While these handsets are equipped with Exynos 1080 chipsets, their global editions arriving in India and other markets will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset. In January, the company launched the Snapdragon 888 powered Vivo X60 Pro+ in China. This flagship model is also speculated to debut alongside the X60 and X60 Pro phones in India.

The landing page of the Vivo X60 lineup reveals that it will be equipped with Gimbal 2.0 stabilisation for recording videos. The X60 models will come with Extreme Night Vision 2.0 mode for capturing enhanced shots at night. Vivo has worked with popular camera lens brand ZEISS for delivering an optimised photography experience on the X60 series models.

The microsite states that the Vivo X60 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8-series chipset, and scrolling down on the page reveals that this is the Snapdragon 870. Vivo will also be launching the Vivo X60 models in Malaysia on March 22nd.

Vivo X60 series specifications and features

The Vivo X60, X60, X60 Pro+ feature 6.56-inch S-AMOLED displays with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. All three phones have a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.  The Vivo V60 features a 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 13-megapixel triple camera setup. The same cameras along with an 8-megapixel telephoto lens are available on the X60 Pro. The Vivo X60 Pro+ has a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 13-megapixel quad-camera setup.

The Vivo X60 Pro and X60 Pro+ are powered by a 4,200mAh battery, whereas the X60 features a 4,300mAh battery. All three phones support 33W fast charging. The Vivo X60 trio will run Android 11 out of the box.
