Exclusive: Vivo X70 Pro+ renders reveal curved display, ZEISS-branded cameras and more

Highlights

  • Vivo X70 Pro+ design has been revealed via CAD renders
  • It features a curved display with a punch-hole camera
  • Its rear panel has a wide quad-camera module like the Mi 11 Ultra

The Vivo X70, X70 Pro, and X70 Pro+ smartphones are expected to launch in multiple markets including in India in September. These phones will be succeeding the Vivo X60 models that were announced earlier this year. Well ahead of the launch, Pricebaba has obtained renders and key details of the Vivo X70 Pro+ via reputed tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks). Renders of the Vivo X70 and X70 Pro were also leaked earlier by the same source.

The Vivo X70 Pro+ renders reveal that it will be arriving with an all-new rear panel design. The phone features a curved display and a rear panel that looks similar to the Mi 11 Ultra.

Vivo X70 Pro+ design and key features

As can be seen from the images above, the Vivo X70 Pro Plus has a curved screen with ultra-slim bezels. Like the other X70 series models, the Pro+ also features a centre-aligned punch-hole camera and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. According to OnLeaks, the smartphone features a 6.7-inch display, which is bigger than the 6.5-inch panels that will be available on the X70 and X70 Pro.

The Vivo X70 Pro+ features a massive camera module that covers a third of the back panel. It houses a ZEISS logo, four cameras, a laser autofocus unit, and an LED flash. We don’t have information available on the camera configurations of the Vivo X70 Pro+.

There is a large blank area on the right side of the camera unit. It could either be a design feature, or if we were to speculate, a placeholder for a secondary rear display like the one seen on the Mi 11 Ultra.

A closer look at the camera bump reveals that it has two layers including a large but thin first layer, which measures around 0.4mm in thickness. The device measures 164.8 x 75.5 x 9mm, and its thickness increases to 11.3mm around the camera bump.

Vivo X70 Pro+ specifications and features (expected)

Earlier today, the Vivo X70 Pro+ with model number V2145A was spotted on the Google Play Console, revealing some of its key specs. The listing revealed that it features a Full HD+ display and is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset. While the device was found to be equipped with 8GB of RAM, the company may also offer a higher-end variant with 12GB of RAM.

The X70 Pro+ runs Android 11. There is no word on the battery capacity of the device, but its 3C certification in China revealed that it may ship with a 55W fast charger. Tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that the cameras of the Vivo X70 series will be powered by Vivo’s self-developed ISP called Vivo V1.
