Vivo X90 series has been launched in China. The Vivo X90 and X90 Pro have arrived as the world’s first phones powered by the Dimensity 9200, which is the latest flagship chipset from MediaTek. Both phones feature a 120Hz OLED display, 50-megapixel triple cameras, and 120W fast charging.

The series also includes the more powerful Vivo X90 Pro Plus handset. It is the world’s first phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. The Vivo X90 and X90 Pro are fitted with a 6.78-inch OLED display with curved edges and a centred punch-hole. The screen supports a Full HD+ resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, a 2160Hz PWM dimming, 10-bit colours, and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The X90 duo features an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The Dimensity 9200 chipset powers the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro. Both phones ship with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both smartphones are equipped with a 4313mm² heat dissipation unit. The X90 duo runs on the Android 13 OS, which is overlaid with OriginOS 3.0.

On the front, the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro feature a 32-megapixel Samsung S5KGD2 selfie camera. The back panel of the X90 has an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony VCS IMX866 primary camera, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide lens with a 108-degree field of view, and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 portrait lens.

The triple camera setup comprises an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel Sony VCS IMX866 main camera, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide snapper with a 108-degree FOV, and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 portrait lens. The camera setup of the X90 and X90 Pro offers other features like a ZEISS T* optical lens, dToF laser autofocus, and Vivo V2 ISP.

The Vivo X90 packs a 4,810mAh battery that supports 120W charging. The Vivo X90 Pro, on the other hand, has a 4,870mAh battery with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powers the Vivo X90 Pro+ with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It houses a massive twin ice-field cooling 8900mm² wide-area vapour chamber for heat dissipation. It packs a 4,700mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ has an OIS-enabled 1-inch Sony IMX989 50-megapixel primary camera with the industry’s only f/1.75 aperture. It is coupled with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 ultra-wide lens, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX758 portrait lens with OIS support, and an OIS-assisted OmniVision OV64B periscope zoom lens with 10x optical zoom. The X90 Pro+ also features ZEISS T* optical lens, dTOF laser autofocus, and Vivo V2 ISP. It has a 32-megapixel Samsung S5KGD2 selfie camera.

The Vivo X90 comes in three variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage for RMB 3,699 (~Rs 42,350), 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for RMB 3,999 (~Rs 45,800), 12GB RAM + 256GB storage for RMB 4,499 (~Rs 51,900), and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage for RMB 4,999 (~Rs 57,200). The handset comes in black, blue, and red colours.

The X90 Pro will come in three options: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for RMB 4,999 (~Rs 57,200), 12B RAM + 256GB storage for RMB 5,499 (~Rs 62,950), and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage for RMB 5,999 (~Rs 68,650).

The Vivo X90 Pro Plus comes in two configurations: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. Both models are priced at RMB 6,499 (~Rs 74,400) and RMB 6,999 (~Rs 80,100), respectively. The X90 Pro and X90 Pro+ can be bought in colours like Black and Red.

The Vivo X90 and X90 Pro will go on sale from November 29th, 2022, in China. The X90 Pro+ will be available in the home market starting December 3rd, 2022. The Vivo X90 series is also expected to release in India, but there is no official confirmation on it yet.
