Vivo Y01 has launched in Europe. The latest Y-series offering is an entry-level phone powered by the Helio P35 chipset. The front side of the device features a teardrop notch display that offers a tall aspect ratio.

To begin with, the Vivo Y01 features a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen that produces an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. While the device lacks a fingerprint scanner, it carries support for AI face unlock.
The front side of the phone has a 5-megapixel camera for selfies. The rear camera module houses a 13-megapixel camera and an LED flash. It offers photography features such as face beauty, bokeh mode, and time-lapse. The handset comes preloaded with Android 11 (Go edition), which is overlaid with FunTouch OS 11.1.
The Helio P35 powered smartphone comes with 2GB / 3GB of RAM. The handset offers 32GB of internal storage and it has a dedicated storage slot for adding a microSD card. The 5,000mAh battery of the Y01 carries support for 10W charging and reverse charging. Other features available on the device include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a microUSB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Vivo Y01 has arrived with a starting price of €119 (~Rs 10,000) in Europe. It comes in two colours namely, Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue. It remains to be seen whether the Y01 will be made available in India.
