Vivo Y02s could be the next Y-series phone for the global market. Reports have claimed that it may launch as early as July 28 in the global market. It is also expected to arrive in India a bit later. The moniker of the device suggests that it will arrive as the successor to the Vivo Y01 entry-level smartphone, which was announced earlier this year in India and other markets.

The Vivo Y02s has a teardrop notch display on the front. Its back panel has a single camera with an LED flash. Being an entry-level model, the device does not seem to feature a fingerprint scanner. As can be seen in the renders, the Y02s could be made available in Favourite Black and Vibrant Blue colours.

According to RootMyGalaxy, the Vivo Y02s will feature a 6.51-inch display that will offer an HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Helio G35 chipset and 3GB of RAM. The phone will offer 32GB of native storage and a microSD card slot.
The Android 12 OS with FunTouchOS UI will come preloaded on the Vivo Y02s. It will have a 5-megapixel camera for snapping selfies. Its back panel will feature an 8-megapixel camera. The Y02s will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. It will measure 8.19mm in thickness and weigh around 182 grams.

The Vivo Y02s is likely to cost $113 (~Rs 9,000). In India, the device is likely to carry a sub-Rs 10,000 price tag.
