Vivo Y11 launched in India for Rs 8,990, goes on sale from December 21st

Vivo has expanded its range of Y series smartphones in India by quietly launching the Vivo Y11. The phone has arrived as the Chinese tech giant’s latest budget phone with a waterdrop notch above the screen, slim bezels, a dual primary camera setup at the rear, and a beefy battery. The Vivo Y11 seems to have arrived as the replacement of the Vivo Y91 that will be soon discontinued, suggests a report by 91mobiles. While Vivo is yet to officially announce the launch of the Vivo Y11, it will reportedly go on sale via major brick and mortar stores in the country very soon.

Vivo Y11 Specifications and features

The Vivo Y11 offers almost non-existent bezels on the sides and top, but sports a tad thick chin. At the rear, the smartphone has a dual primary camera setup that’s placed on the top-left side and a fingerprint sensor in the middle. The phone has a 6.35-inch Halo FullView display with a resolution of 720 x 1,544 pixels and a pixel density of 268ppi. Software-wise, the device boots Funtouch OS 9.1 that’s based on Android 9.0 Pie.

The Vivo y11 is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor that’s based on 12nm fabrication processor and provides a max clock speed of 1.95GHz. The chipset is paired with an Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There’s 32GB of native storage onboard that can be further increased by up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card in the dedicated slot.

In the camera department, the Vivo Y11 offers a 13MP f/2.2 primary camera on the back, which is paired with a 2MP secondary shooter with an aperture of f/2.4. For selfies and video-calling, the handset is fitted with an 8MP f/1.8 shooter on the front. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. A 5,000mAh battery completes the list of the specs.

The Vivo Y11 has been priced competitively in India at Rs 8,990. The smartphone will be available in two colour variants – Coral Red and Jade Green.
