Vivo has announced a new variant for the Vivo Y12 in India. The company is now offering a 3GB RAM + 64GB storage variant priced at Rs 11,990. The Vivo Y12 was originally launched with 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, which was also priced higher at Rs 12,490. Both the new variants will be sold via offline and online retail channels.
Vivo Y12 Features and Specifications
The Vivo Y12 features a 6.35-inch Halo FullView HD+ display. Also present is a waterdrop notch on the top. Thanks to the almost non-existent bezels, the Vivo Y12 manages to offer an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Vivo Y12 is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. The Vivo Y12 is fitted with a huge 5,000mAh battery unit. Software-wise, it runs on Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS skinned on top. The Vivo Y12 exterior is treated with a mirror finish and color shifting hues.
Imaging features on the Vivo Y12 include a triple rear camera setup consisting of 13MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the Vivo Y12 offers an 8MP selfie camera. Furthermore, the Vivo Y12 also offers HDR, Portrait mode and AI to bolster the camera capabilities. The Vivo Y12 comes with all the basic connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm jack and USB OTG.
Vivo has also baked in a gaming mode. Called the ‘Ultra-Smooth Gaming’ it helps while playing e-sports. The mode allocates system resources in a bid to optimise your gaming performance. In some cases, the software will automatically drop the frames to offer a smoother gaming experience.
