Vivo has unveiled a new budget smartphone called the Vivo Y12s in India. After the Vivo Y51A, it is the second Y-series phone from the brand to debut in India.

In terms of design, the Vivo Y12s sports a contemporary design as it features a waterdrop notch display on the front and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Apart from featuring a large-sized screen, the handset features an AI power 13-megapixel dual camera setup. The Y12s is packed with a huge battery that comes with support for AI power saving.

The Vivo Y12s has a 6.51-inch IPS LCD panel that produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. For shooting selfies, the handset features an 8-megapixel camera.
The plastic rear of the Vivo Y12s features a dual-camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel main camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone boots FunTouch OS 11 based on Android 11.
The Helio P35 chipset is at the helm of the Vivo Y12s smartphone. It is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The Vivo Y12s has a 5,000mAh battery that promises up to 16.3 hours of online video streaming or 8.9 hours of gaming. It also supports reverse charging. However, the handset supports only 10W charging.
The Vivo Y12s offers users other features such as dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, micro-USB, a microSD card slot, face unlock, a side-facing fingerprint reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Vivo Y12s is priced at Rs 9,990 and it can be bought in colours like Phantom Black and Glacier Blue. It can be purchased through different platforms such as Vivo India’s online store, Amazon, Flipkart, Tata CLiQ, Paytm, and all partnered retail stores.
