Vivo recently launched its Y16 smartphone in Hong Kong, and now the company has launched this budget offering in the Indian market as well. It will be the successor of the Vivo Y15s, launched in February this year.
Recently we revealed the live images, retail box, and video of the upcoming Vivo Y16. The company has officially launched the smartphone today. The base model of Vivo Y16 with 3GB + 32GB will cost Rs 9,999, and the 4GB +64GB model will cost Rs 12,499. This is in line with an earlier leak in which an offline retailer mentioned that the 4GB+64GB of Vivo Y16 will carry the price tag of Rs 12,499.
Vivo is also dolling out a free festive special gift on purchasing Vivo Y16 smartphones. Besides, HDFC credit and debit card users will get an additional Rs 750 discount. Bajaj EMI cardholders will get Rs 1,000 cashback. And Bajaj No cost EMI option will also be available. Apart from the bank offers, Vivo will also provide an exchange offer that may further sweeten the pricing.
Vivo Y16 Specifications and Features
The Vivo Y16 flaunts a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Under the hood, the Vivo Y16 is powered by the Helio P35 chipset paired with up to 4Gb of RAM and 64GB of storage which users can expand for up to 1TB with the help of a micro SD card. It runs on the FunTouch OS 12 on top of Android 12.
In terms of camera, the Vivo Y16 houses a dual camera setup at the back with 13MP primary and 2MP macro snapper. On the front, it features a 5MP selfie camera. The smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. It also features a dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
