Vivo Y19 with triple rear cameras and 5,000mAh battery goes official

The Vivo Y19 is a new entry-level smartphone from the brand which has been launched in Thailand. It features a polycarbonate build with dimensions of 162.15 x 76.47 x 8.89mm. The handset weighs 193g and houses an IPS LCD display measuring 6.53 inches. The full HD+ screen offers a tall aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone promises a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent. In related news, Vivo has dropped the prices of two of its Y-series smartphones in India. The Vivo Y91 and Y91i have received their second price cut following their launch earlier this year. The Vivo Y91 3GB + 32GB variant is now available for Rs 8,490, while the Vivo Y91i 2GB + 32GB variant is priced at Rs 6,990.

Coming back to the Vivo Y19, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio P65 chipset. The SoC is supported by 6GB of RAM. The device comes with a native storage of 128GB. It has a large  battery of 5,000mAh capacity that is equipped with dual-engine 18W fast charging via micro-USB. The smartphone carries support for reverse charging as well, which means it can be used to charge other devices via USB OTG.

FunTouch OS 9.2 based on Android 9 Pie runs on the Vivo Y19. There is an Ultra Game Mode onboard for an improved gaming experience on the handset. The notch of the phone features an f/2.0 16-megapixel selfie snapper that it is coupled with an AI Beauty feature. The rear side of the Vivo Y19 sports a triple camera setup with an f/1.78 16-megapixel main lens., an f/2.2 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and an f/2.4 2-megapixel super macro lens. The usual connectivity features such as dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack are also available on the smartphone. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear shell of the phone.

Vivo Y19 pricing and availability

The Vivo Y19 is available in Magnetic Black and Spring White colours. It carries a price tag of 6,999 Baht (~Rs 16,400). There is no word on the whether the phone will be made available in India as of now.
