Vivo Y19 with 5,000mAh battery and fast charging reportedly launching in India soon

At the beginning of this week, Vivo had introduced the Vivo Y19 smartphone in Thailand. A fresh report on 91mobiles quoting an unnamed Vivo representative states that the Vivo Y19 mid-range phone will be coming soon to India. Its arrival may result in the discontinuation of the Vivo Y17 smartphone. The report further states that the Vivo Y19 may hit the Indian markets with a pricing of around Rs 20,000. The Vivo Y17 is currently selling for Rs 13,990 in the country.

Vivo Y19 comes with full HD+ display, fast charging and 5,000mAh battery

The Vivo Y19 features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD Halo FullVIew display with a waterdrop notch. The 19.5:9 display delivers full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. Android 9 Pie coupled with the latest FunTouch OS 9.2 comes pre-loaded on the device.

The MediaTek Helio P65 octa-core processor is the driving force of the smartphone. The SoC is supported by 6GB of RAM. It comes with a generous native storage of 128GB. A microSD card slot is also available for expanding its storage further.

The rear panel of the Vivo Y19 features a triple camera system with a 16-megapixel main lens with f/1.78 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.2 aperture. A 16-megapixel camera is placed on the front of the phone.

The Vivo Y19 sports a massive 5,000mAh battery. It is coupled with Vivo’s 18W dual-engine fast charging technology through micro-USB. The phone also carries support for reverse charging.

In Thailand, the Vivo Y19 is selling for 6,999 Baht (~Rs 16,400). The same phone is rebranded as Vivo Y5s in China and it is priced at 1,498 Yuan (~Rs 15,200). The Vivo U3 that was unveiled in October in China also packs identical specs as Y19 / Y5s. However, the only major difference is that it features a Snapdragon 675 processor instead of Helio P65.
