Last month, Vivo had launched the Vivo Y20 and Y20i smartphones in India. The devices fall in the sub-15k price segment and come with decent specifications. The Y20i is a slightly downgraded version of the Y20.
Vivo had initially launched the Y20 in a single 4GB + 64GB option. Now the brand has announced a 6GB + 64GB RAM and storage variant of the same. There is also a new colour variant of the device called Purist Blue, apart from the existing Obsidian Black and Dawn White options. The Vivo Y20 competes against the Redmi Note 9, Realme 6i and Nokia 5.3 in India.
Vivo Y20 specifications and features
The Vivo Y20 offers a 6.53-inch display bearing HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The back panel houses a rectangular camera module at the top left corner. The setup consists of a 13MP main sensor, 2MP bokeh lens and a 2MP macro unit. The smartphone has an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.
The Vivo Y20 is equipped with a Snapdragon 460 processor. It is offered in 4GB and 6GB RAM options, both packing 64GB onboard storage. The smartphone runs FunTouch OS 10.5 based on Android 10. The Vivo Y20 is backed by a 5,000mAh with support for 18W fast charging.
Vivo Y20 price in India
The Vivo Y20 6GB + 64GB configuration is priced at Rs 13,990, while the 4GB + 64GB option retails at Rs 12,990. The later is already available for purchase across offline retail stores, Vivo India’s e-store and major e-commerce platforms. On the other hand, the latest 6GB + 64GB variant will available for purchase from September 24th. Vivo says that the Vivo Y20 is ‘Made in India’ and manufactured at the company’s Greater Noida facility.
