Vivo Y21s has quietly launched in Indonesia. It is the latest addition in the Chinese brand’s Y-series. The smartphone is an upgraded variant of the Vivo Y21 that debuted in India last month.
The Vivo Y21s is a mid-range offering and also retains some of the specifications and design from the standard Y21. Let’s find out what the smartphone offers out of the box.
Vivo Y21s specifications and features
The Vivo Y21s comes with a 6.51-inch LCD screen bearing HD+ resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and a waterdrop notch on the top. The power button doubles up as a fingerprint scanner and there is also a face unlock feature. Design-wise, the device sports a gradient back panel and houses a square-shaped camera module.
On the imaging front, the Vivo Y21s sports triple rear cameras consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth unit. There is an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
The Vivo Y21s is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G80 processor. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB native storage that can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. There is also 1GB of expandable virtual RAM. The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging.
Software-wise, the Vivo Y21s runs Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box. Connectivity options on the smartphone include a USB-C port, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Vivo Y21s pricing and availability
The Vivo Y21s is available in a sole 4GB + 128GB configuration and is priced at IDR 2,799,000 (~Rs 14,426). The smartphone is offered in Pearl White and Midnight Blue colours and can be purchased in Indonesia. It’s unclear if the smartphone will arrive in India, however, since Vivo offers many Y-series devices, we can expect the Y21s to launch in the country.
