Vivo Y21T is set to launch in India next week. Reports have claimed that it will be go official on January 3rd, 2022 in the country. The renders and specifications of the smartphone have appeared well before its official announcement. The handset is expected to debut as India’s first phone powered by the Snapdragon 680 mobile platform.

The Y21T moniker reveals that it is a new variant of the Vivo Y21s, which debuted in August this year. The leaked specs suggest that the Y21T will be powerful than the Y21s, which featured the modest Helio P35 chipset. Some of the other highlights of the Y21T include a tall aspect ratio display, 50-megapixel triple rear cameras, and a big battery.

Vivo Y21T may debut as India’s first Snapdragon 680 phone

The Vivo Y21T renders show that it will be sporting a waterdrop notch display and a noticeable chin on the front. The rear panel of the phone reveals that it has a 50-megapixel primary camera. It appears that the power button available on the right side of the device is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The handset can be seen in colours like dark blue and light blue in the leaked renders.

Recent reports have revealed that the Vivo Y21T will feature a 6.58-inch LCD panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 2-megapixel (depth) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. The handset may run on Android 11, which will be overlaid with Vivo’s FunTouchOS UI.

The Snapdragon 680 powered Y21T is expected to arrive with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It may come with a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 18W fast charging. It is likely to arrive with sub-20,000 pricing in India.
