Vivo is gearing up to launch a few new phones in the coming days under the Vivo Y series and the Vivo V series. These phones are frequently spotted on benchmark sites. Today, we spotted the Vivo Y22 on the BIS website revealing its model number. The phone carries the model number V2207, which is in line with the earlier leaks. The Vivo Y22 was earlier spotted on the Indonesia Telecom website and Geekbench. This model number has been consistent in all the previous leaks.
In addition to this, Vivo Y16 too has been spotted on the NBTC certification website. Earlier this week, the renders for this smartphone had been leaked online. The Vivo Y16 carries the model number V2204.
Apart from Vivo Y22, the company is also mulling the launch of Vivo Y22s. The marketing material for Vivo Y22 was leaked earlier, and it revealed that this upcoming smartphone would be powered by a Snapdragon 680 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 8GB of virtual RAM. Under the hood, Vivo Y22s will have a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Vivo Y22 Expected Specifications
Coming back to Vivo Y22, from what we have gathered so far, the Vivo Y22 will have a 6.44-inch HD+ LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to have MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, which will be paired with Arm Mali-G52 GPU. The Vivo Y22 will be run on Android 12, based on FunTouch OS out of the box. In terms of camera, the smartphone will feature an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Vivo Y22 is likely to be fueled by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The other features that are expected to be on the smartphone are a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock. So far, there is no word on the price of the Vivo Y22.
Vivo Y16 leaked specifications
The Vivo Y16 is likely to come with a 6.51-inch HD+ display. It is tipped to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 and paired with 4GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery. Vivo Y16 may run on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12. Leaks suggest that this smartphone will have a dual rear camera setup headlined by a 13-megapixel main sensor with f/2.2 aperture lens. It will be accompanied by a 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture lens for depth or macro shots, Ambhore claims. On the front could be a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture lens for selfies and video calls.
