Vivo has unveiled the Vivo Y22 smartphone in the Indian market. The new phone’s highlights include a 50-megapixel camera and a 5000mAh battery. It inherits the design of previous Y-series phones, and Vivo claims that the Y22’s design will provide an excellent grip. The display has a 2.5D curve on the sides, which complements the entire design.

The Vivo Y22 features a 6.55-inch LCD panel with an HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 CPU, with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It runs on the FunTouchOS 12 UI based on Android 12. The Vivo Y22 smartphone has an 8MP selfie camera, and a 50MP dual camera at the back paired with a 2MP macro sensor and LED flash.
The phone has a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The Vivo Y22’s connectivity features include 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The smartphone is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W USB-C charging.

The Vivo Y22 comes in two variants 4GB RAM + 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The base variant costs Rs 14,499, and the top-of-the-line variant costs Rs 16,499. The smartphone comes in Starlit Blue and Metaverse Green colour options, and it is available across all offline and online retailers, including Vivo’s e-store.
Vivo has also partnered with some banks to offer discounts. Such as, buyers can get up to Rs 1,000 instant discount on offline smartphone purchases using SBI Card, Kotak Mahindra and One Card credit cards. On the other hand, online customers can get up to Rs 750 off with HDFC credit cards and EMI transactions.
