Vivo has silently announced a mid-range device in the Y-series dubbed as the Vivo Y3. The device has been launched in China and is listed on Vivo’s website. It carries a price tag of 1,500 Yuan (Rs 15,100). There is no word on the company regarding its pricing and availability in India.
The Vivo Y3 features an HD+ display measuring 6.35-inches with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio screen. The device comes with a tiny waterdrop notch on the top and has an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio. The back of the phone houses a fingerprint scanner. The Vivo Y3 can be availed in two gradient colour options – Peacock Blue and Peach Powder.
The Vivo Y3 sports a triple rear camera setup. The module consists of a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the device is fitted with a 16MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture for selfies. It also comes with a face unlock feature.
In terms of internals, the Vivo Y3 houses an octa-core MediaTek P35 chipset. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and offers 128GB internal memory. The storage is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. The device runs Android 9 Pie out of the box. It features Game Cube for optimising games. The Vivo Y3 is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery with dual engine fast charging support
Connectivity options on the device include a micro USB port, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
